Sian is a partner in our Corporate and Commercial team.  Prior to joining Wilsons Sian was a partner at city firm Mishcon de Reya and Taylor Vinters, a boutique firm headquartered in Cambridge. 

Sian's practice includes private company M&A, business acquisitions and disposals, investments & fundraisings, private equity transactions, joint ventures, reorganisations, shareholders' agreements, LLPs and partnerships, corporate governance and advisory matters and commercial contracts across a range of sectors including manufacturing, software, life sciences, professional services and technology.  Sian's extensive experience in advising both owner managers in selling their companies and buyers on the acquisition trail means she has a strong pedigree in helping business and individuals make the most of their opportunities and she has a pragmatic, focused and accessible style.  In addition, Sian has particular experience in advising professional service LLPs and partnerships on their partnership agreements and member governance.

Recent highlights:

  • Acting for a nationwide professional services firm in the latest of their series of business acquisitions;
  • Advising a manufacturing business on the acquisition of a trading subsidiary whilst preserving key, high value contacts;
  • Advising the shareholders of an IT support services business on a sale to a private equity house;
  • Advising the directors of a technology business on their duties in the event of insolvency, and on the consequent sale of assets from administration;
  • Acting for a private equity backed business providing drug discovery software in the acquisition of a US consultancy business and supporting fundraising;
  • Advising the directors of a company limited by guarantee on the members rules and constitution of a caravan park;
  • Advising a professional service firm on negotiated exit of partners;
  • Advising a nationwide professional services partnership on a review of its LLP agreement and preliminary advice around B-Corp status;
  • Advising a key employee shareholder on the protection of his position under an earnout.

In her spare time Sian enjoys walking, yoga, skiing (weather & landscape permitting) and training her dog.
