We specialise in advising individuals, families and their asset holding structures on the protection and devolution of their assets. This ranges from the drafting of wills and trusts to more complex tax driven planning.

Our clients include individuals who have received payments as a consequence of a personal injury, individuals with inherited wealth, foreign domiciliaries and others with international business or property interests. We also advise UK and offshore trustees on the full range of trust law.

We are regularly instructed by accountants, trust companies and other firms of solicitors to advise on the best form of trust structures, drafting of trusts and to give advice on UK trust and tax law.

In addition we also manage a large number of trusts ranging in value from £250,000 to £25,000,000. As well as dealing with the core aspects of trust administration, which include the preparation of annual trust accounts, tax returns and tax certificates, the team also liaises with investment managers, sets up portfolios, deals with all necessary compliance work, e.g. FATCA and trustee policy statements, as well as having regular contact with trustees/beneficiaries and case managers. The team works closely with colleagues in other teams including the property team for house sales, purchases and tenancy agreements and the employment team about contracts of employment for beneficiaries with support and care workers.

Our partners regularly act as professional trustees.
